Abstract interactive composition made from fragments of satellite images
No Replica explored the commonalities in urban landscapes by collecting satellite imagery and juxtaposing them in a large, disjointed composition. The site appropriates the aesthetics of navigational systems to add an aura of unease, placing the user in the role of an ominous surveyor.
In addition to the core experience, users can toggle a variety of settings to change the quantity of images and range between images, as well as generate random trails or change the data source from satellite imagery to Wikipedia articles.
