For their twentieth anniversary, Design Observer launched an awards ceremony celebrating their legacy and continuing impact on the design industry. No Replica developed the ceremony’s website, which features an interactive artwork that randomly pulls articles from the publication’s twenty years of production. Visitors can hover over articles to see their titles, and click them to read their original text.

Collaborator: Jessica Helfand

The site’s design juxtaposes a rigid, grid-based layout with fluid gradients and dynamic typography.

The site’s pages transition seamlessly into each other.

The “Awards” page features an interactive background that selects links to random articles from the publication’s entire 20-year backlog.

Hovering over the award categories recolors the page.

Each award category features a unique page with a distinct color.
