Drawing connections between responses to a shared prompt
Spore Site is a project curating audio recordings and transcripts responding to a common prompt. No Replica collaborated with designer Lydia Chodosh to create the project’s digital component, which features an interactive network diagram that lets visitors listen to each recording and shows connections between people’s responses. Clicking a node in this network brings up more details about that particular response, including a transcript, relevant references, geographic origin, and more.

The site begins with a brief explanation of the prompt. Clicking “listen in” reveals the network of nodes representing audio responses.
Hovering over a node plays the associated audio file and highlights connections to other nodes with similar themes.
Each node has an affiliated page featuring a full transcript, location data, and connected entries.
The “About” page uses the same split-column layout to present multiple flows of information simultaneously.
